5 MUST-WATCH Christmas movies for toddlers and how to watch them! Thu 6 December 2018 08:55

Nothing helps set the festive tone like a good Christmas movie.

There’s an abundance out there nowadays but not all of them are suited to toddlers or can keep an under 5-year-old from squirming.

Here’s our hand-picked selection of Christmas movies for toddlers, complete with ratings, trailers and where to watch them.

Mickey Mouse leads the festive fun alongside Disney stalwarts Donald Duck and Goofy in a trio of colourful tales for Christmas.

This one has a little bit of everything with enough cult hero characters to even keep parents partially interested.

AVAILABLE: Now TV, Daily Motion.

Frosty the Snowman (4/5)

Old but gold, the little ones can relate to this classic story featuring the famous Frosty the Snowman.

Although made in 1969 the animation is still crisp. The runtime is only 25 minutes, too!

Frozen (5/5)

An instant modern classic, Frozen is yet another warm-hearted animated comedy from Disney.

This time it comes in the form of a new twist on fairytale The Snow Queen. A must-watch but sadly not on Netflix!

AVAILABLE: Now TV, Sky Cinema.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (4/5)

This 1998 film has a feel of Fox and the Hound due to its iconic 90’s Disney animation.

It lasts over an hour but the journey is warm and magical for any toddler.

Tom and Jerry: Santa’s Little Helper (3/5)

Only Christmas could stop Tom and Jerry from causing carnage.

Of course, the film opens in classic Tom chasing Jerry fashion, although they eventually put their differences aside to save Christmas.

AVAILABLE: Now TV, Daily Motion, YouTube.

Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas (3/5)

Musical sequel to Disney’s animated love story.

Belle prepares the castle for Christmas in the perfect girly flick. Not everyone, though, or non-musical kids who hate princesses.

AVAILABLE: Now TV, Sky.
