Lambert, The Lady that Rocks Country
Miranda Lambert remains in the limelight up to this time, behind the growing domination of men in the country music. She continues to bag awards from different music academies. On ACM history, she holds the record for the first female artist with most awards. She won a total of 31 ACM awards in different titles. She is the reigning ACM Female Vocalist of the Year for nine consecutive years.
Tin Man
With her ballads, Lambert effortlessly delivers incredible stories behind the songs. Her single, “Tin Man” especially caught the sensibility of the listeners with its melancholy tune and stagy message. The song is addressed to one of The Wizard of Oz‘s character. For those who haven’t seen the movie yet, the Tin Man represents a character of coldness, emptiness, and loneliness and heartless. Along the journey, he desires to have a heart because he wanted to experience how it’s like to have emotions like people do. But Miranda, in her song, says he is lucky enough to be created without feelings because he doesn’t have to be embittered time and again.
Hey there, Mr. Tin Man
You don’t know how lucky you are
I’ve been on the road that you’re on
It didn’t get me very far
You ain’t missing nothing
‘Cause love is so damn hard
Take it from me, darling
You don’t want a heart
The tune laments on a love that’s lost and the pain that comes with it, and obviously connected to the fans. The track appears on Lambert’s album, The Weight of These Wings. The songs featured are reportedly written after her divorce from Blake Shelton. Lambert described the album as the diary of her recent experiences. These include the sore years she had to cope with.
Miranda rendered the most stirring performance for the song at the ACM Awards 2017. He sang the song with a solo acoustic accompaniment and left many members in the crowd in tears.
The “Tin Man” replies
Lambert’s “Tin Man” gained popularity right after its release, and many aspiring artists shared their own cover of it. But here’s a man who operates under the name “The Tin Man,” who made his own response to the reigning ACM Song of the Year. He created a unique piece of his own, with equally heartbreaking lyrics. A part of the sign says:
“Oh my Dear Miranda, tell me can you feel my emptiness, is this what you wish.”
